CCA Award Submissions

CCA Award submissions must meet all eligibility and submission requirements as specified below.

Submission period opens January 15, 2026, and closes April 2, 2026.

2026 CCA Awards Submission Requirements

Definitions

Creatives (hereafter ‘creatives” or “artists”), are individuals whose work is influenced by faith, spirituality, or values rooted in the Christian tradition.

Creative Works (hereafter “works”) are defined as music, podcasts, any fine art, dance, writings, movies or any other artistic or creative expression that reflect Christian values

Release: A release constitutes the making available of one’s music (or related work) through any public platform (e.g. radio airplay, streaming, download, or physical copies).

Eligibility Requirements

Content: Submissions must reflect Christian values (e.g. faith, hope, love, scripture)

Qualifying Period: Work submitted for consideration must have been released during the period January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025 unless other wise noted with the *New Category then the dates would be January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2025.

Submission Period: Work must be submitted within the submission period January 15 – April 2, 2026.

Geographical Restrictions: General Categories are for International & Canadian Artists. The works must be rightfully owned and available for distribution within the participant’s own country or worldwide via physical or digital distribution, websites, etc.

The Canadian Categories are for Canadian Artists ONLY. Canadian award categories, require the participants to have Canadian status in at least two of the following areas:

Canadian CCM / Pop Song
Canadian Praise & Worship Song
Canadian Music Video (original music or original arrangement of a cover)
Canadian Songwriter of the Year
*NEW Canadian Hip Hop / Rap Song
General Categories:
Folk Song
Inspirational / Instrumental Song
Christmas Song
*NEW Country / Southern Gospel/ Bluegrass Song
*NEW Naija Worship / Caribbean Worship Song
*NEW Urban / R&B / Soul Song
*NEW Kids Song
*NEW CCM / Praise & Worship / Hip Hop / Pop / Rock

Artists/creatives may submit more than one song/video, however each song/video will be considered a separate submission within the categories that are eligible to you.

If there are not enough submissions in your category we reserve the rights to move it to the closest category that would work or refund your submission and cancel that category. If this should happen we will reach out to you to discuss before taking action.

Submissions

The following will be required for each submission:

Submission Format

A MP3 song must be provided for submissions or MP4 or MOV video must be provided for Music Video submissions.

For the songwriter category, a MP3 of the song must be submitted and also a PDF with the lyrics of the song plus listing of all applicable writers.

Excellence Awards

The CCA Excellence Awards celebrate individuals and organizations who are making a meaningful and lasting impact on the global gospel and Christian music community. These honors recognize excellence, influence, and dedication across key areas of the industry where passion meets purpose.

Judging

Awards will be decided by a CCA panel and industry professionals. Judges will be selected for applicable categories based on their overall experience, understanding of the genre they are judging, and absence of conflict of interest.

Applications to serve as judges are welcome, the individual would have no submissions, or direct connections to submissions in the category they are judging.

To maintain the integrity of the process, judges must commit to confidentiality, and to reviewing each submission with integrity and equal attention.
