What is the purpose of the Christian Creative Arts (CCA) Awards?

The CCA Awards honor excellence in Christian creativity by recognizing artists and their journey from concept to final output, celebrating works that reflect and support Christian values.

Who is eligible to submit works for the CCA Awards?

Christian artists and creatives, both Canadian and International, may submit their work provided it meets the eligibility requirements. 

What types of creative works are accepted for submission?

Accepted submissions include music, podcasts, fine art, dance, writing, movies, and other creative expressions that align with Christian values.

What is the submission period for the CCA Awards?

Submissions open on January 15, 2026, and close on April 2, 2026.

Is there a membership requirement to submit works?

No there is no membership required.

What are the eligibility requirements for submitted works?

  • Content must reflect Christian values (e.g., faith, hope, love).
  • The work must have been publicly released between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. 
  •  *NEW categories, the work must have been publicly released between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2025. 
  • Works for International categories must be available for distribution in the creator’s country or globally.

Are there specific geographical requirements?

Yes, while International works are accepted, other categories require Canadian status in at least two areas, such as artist nationality, ownership of work, or production location.

What award categories are available?

Categories include various music genres, a songwriter category, music video, an International category, and special excellence awards in areas like artists in the marketplace, and lifetime achievement.

How can submissions be made?

Each submission requires detailed information about the artist, social channels, song credentials. For song categories, song submissions can be in either an MP3 or WAV file for songs. Music videos can be in either a MP4 or MOV file. For Songwriter you must list all writers, as well as provide a copy of the lyrics of the song.

Can I submit more than one work?

Yes, artists may submit multiple works, though each song or video is considered a separate submission.

Can a single work be submitted to multiple categories?

Yes, a work may be submitted in multiple categories; as well as multiple different songs in the same category however, each category entry will be treated as a separate submission.

Is there a cost per submission?

Yes, a CA$29.97 charge will be applied to each submission (i.e. one work per one category).

How will submissions be judged?

Submissions are reviewed by a panel of experienced industry professionals based on genre expertise and absence of conflicts of interest.

Can I apply to be a judge?

Yes, you may apply to judge, provided you have no submissions or connections to submissions in the categories you judge. Interested members can email contact@christiancreativearts.com for more information.

How are the Excellence Awards different from other categories?

Excellence Awards recognize contributions in areas like faith-driven artists in mainstream industries, and lifetime achievements in the Christian creative community. The Excellence awards are the CCA's way of placing a recognition on people or organizations making a difference through their faith.
